Provides respiratory protection against ammonia and methylamine. Approved by NIOSH against no more than 300 p.p.m. of ammonia and 100 p.p.m. of methylamines. Used with 3M full face and full face respirators with bayonet filter holder.
The use in a variety of applications that include agriculture, the manufacture of chemical products, laboratories and the food industry. If placed correctly, it helps to provide respiratory protection from ammonia and methylamine at concentrations up to 10 times the permissible exposure limit (PEL) with half-facepiece masks or 50 times PEL with full facepieces. Complete masks shall be eligible for quantitative testing to claim assigned protection factor above 10 in negative pressure mode. It should not be used in environments that are an immediate danger to life or health (IDLH).
